Hi it’s Adam back again with another winter warmer recipe that’s fast to prepare and a personal favorite of mine to eat!
I hope you enjoy cooking it for your family and friends as much as I do!
1 kg slab of boneless pork belly, skin-on
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 cup sake
1 cup mirin
1/2 cup sugar
6 scallions, roughly chopped
6 whole garlic cloves
One 5 cm knob ginger, roughly sliced
1 whole onion diced
Put cup water, soy sauce, sake, mirin, sugar, scallions, garlic, ginger, and onion into your rice cooking machine .
Add pork belly (it won’t be submerged).
Cook until pork is fully tender about 1 hour use a cake tester or thin knife inserted into its center if it meets little resistance, it’s ready. Transfer the contents to a sealed container and refrigerate until completely cool. Or serve as is !
For a stronger flavor you can marinate all the ingredients together in a ziplock bag for 12 hours before you cook them
